Discover the Stories Through the Music of Starshine and Creekbeds

What light catches, memory keeps — and what memory keeps becomes a lyric.

Every story has its own soundtrack. Through the imagination, memories, and Appalachian roots that flow through this creek, Starshine and Creekbeds has brought together a sound we're calling Appalachian Swamp.

Behind Starshine and Creekbeds is Angela Huston, a writer, storyteller, photographer, and independent songwriter whose inspiration comes from life experiences, imagination, family memories, and the stories waiting to be discovered.

Haunting mysteries, intrigue, and adventure hide within these lyrics—or leap right out of them—like they have a place to be in this world. And dancing? Dancing is absolutely welcome, even if nobody's watching!

Come travel these roads with Starshine and Creekbeds. Whether you discover a song on your favorite streaming platform or hear its sounds accompanying a story on social media, you're invited to set the scene or imagine one of your own. Either way, the invitation is open to explore what Starshine and Creekbeds has to offer.

Built from original lyrics, life experiences, memories, and a blend of creativity and AI-assisted composition and production, each song brings something different to the creek. Some songs also feature Angela's own recorded voice, incorporated into the creative process to help bring the music to life.

Maybe a song will bring back a memory of your own. Maybe it'll take you somewhere you've never been. Or maybe it'll give your imagination an entirely new road to travel.

Dark Country, Dark Blues, Blues, Country, Rock, and Appalachian-inspired music—these songs aren't meant to be boxed into one genre.

So give each song a listen, discover the stories behind the music, and add whatever speaks to you to your favorite playlist.

Every story has its own beat, and every song deserves the chance to travel and discover a happy home.
